If support staff weren’t scheduled to work the next day, they had to make a special trip to the restaurant just to pick up their cash tip envelope, unless they were willing to wait.
Meanwhile, the controller and CFO were responsible for managing cash flow across all locations, making frequent bank runs, and driving cash between sites. These trips occurred about three times per week and totaled roughly 12 hours of driving time weekly, pulling leadership away from higher-value tasks and adding operational strain.
